Yes, because students can learn how to respond appropriately to being bullied or witnessing bullying. They will be more prone to seek the proper authorities and stand up for others, instead of backing down or taking the situation violently into their own hands. Since they are informed, students will feel more confident and not back down to injustice.

Bullying programs show students what can happens in the mind of the bullied student. Being bullied brings down your self-esteem. Confidence doesn't matter anymore. Thought of life doesn't exist through their eyes.

No, people will continue to bully other people. The programs do not stop the bullying.

Bullying programs are mostly set up for victims of bullying. Without these programs, victims may feel helpless. With the proper information and the feeling of support, these victims will defend themselves and seek help. Yes, unfortunately, there will always be an immature brat forcing his "mommy" problems on another kid, but at least now those bullied can do something.

Bullying programs don't work. All they do is encourage students to talk about their feelings and how to cope. The student probably won't stand up for himself/herself and if they do, they'll just get bullied more.

Side: No

No, bullying programs just hide the problem by making it more difficult for a bully to bully. If a bully is going to bully they will unless they are confronted individually.

Side: No

No, they do not help students to stop getting bullied. Some of those students just go to the program to get free pizza or snacks.

Side: No

No they do not. The anti-bullying programs try to treat the symptoms not the core problem.
